Through a combination of engaging webinars and an innovative podcast series, we aim to deepen understanding of comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) and its role in contemporary cancer management.

Save the Date: Omico’s Cancer & Genomics Webinar #2 – 6 February 2025

We will be kicking off 2025 with another Zoom event on Thursday 6^th February from 1:00 – 2:15 PM AEDT.

This information webinar will build on the engagement and feedback we received from our first webinar in July 2024 – it will cover the fundamentals and add important areas requiring more education and discussion. The topics will include:-

• The role of precision oncology and comprehensive genomic profiling in today’s cancer management.
• The importance of the patient and doctor partnership in navigating a cancer management plan that includes comprehensive genomic profiling and matching to targeted medicines.
• A deeper insight into clinical trials with precision oncology – how matching to treatment is managed and what participation on a clinical trial involves.

As a special addition to this session – we will be incorporating an interactive Q&A involving a panel of genomics experts, clinicians, nurses and patients who will be able to answer as many questions as possible!

Introducing: Cancer Meets Its Match Podcast Series – Launching February 2025!

We’re also thrilled to announce the launch of our 8-episode podcast series, Cancer Meets Its Match, debuting in February 2025. This series is designed for patients, families, and carers, to break down the complexities of CGP and precision oncology through:

• Discussions with Omico researchers and clinicians.
• Stories from patients and families who have experienced CGP.
• Insights from patient advocacy groups who support Australians facing challenging cancers.

We will be exploring the science, the evidence, and also getting into the practicalities of how CGP can lead to a personalised, precision treatment for an individual’s unique cancer – which we know is important to so many in the community.

The broad range of episodes and topics within the podcast series include a back to basics on genomics, the process and experience involved in getting CGP, how matches to precision  treatments are made, what a modern-day clinical trial involves, and the support tools and resources available.

We have focused on ensuring that it covers all the priority areas the community want to hear about – and are extremely excited with the amazing range of talented individuals who are participating to share their experience and expertise.
